Reflection...
While doing research about courage, I thought of my own life, and all the times I was being courageous. It may have been a simple act or something big, out of my comfort zone.
Everybody is different, meaning that they are different in the way that they present themselves. Some people are fearless, and seem like they can do anything, but others are shy and quiet, and don't put as much on the line. Sometimes, though, people get huge burst of energy, and have that moment where they can do anything. They complete these big acts of heroism, and don't even realize that the acts they are doing are amazing.
Sometimes we have to make mistakes before we start to have courage. We realize what we did wrong, and then try to make it better, which can be a hard thing to do. It is never easy to admit that you were wrong; it takes courage to complete acts like those.
For me, I take a lot of messages from music. I listen to the lyrics and relate to the stories. Some songs really move me, while others are just there that I may not understand. Each song is different, but all music falls into a certain genre, or has common theme. When looking for a song for my multimedia text, I came across a lot of songs I knew, and others I didn't, but each theme was the same; courage.
There are so many stories out there about people being courageous, brave, standing up for complete strangers. These people may be risking their lives, but they had this moment of, I can do something to help, and they did. They're stories are amazing, and heart felt, and I love hearing about them.
These acts of courage make me want to do good things for other people, but courage to me, means that you aren't afraid to take risks, and try new things. lately, as I have been coming out of my shell, experiencing life changing experiences that I will take me for the rest of my life. I encourage others to try new things, and not to be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone a little more. It has been working for me, and have never felt better.
